Apex Digest is probably one of the best produced small press magazines that you are likely to find. It is, as its name suggests a digest at 140 mm wide by 215 mm deep, however the title doesn't mention the word digest but rather byelines with Science Fiction and Horror. It has a glossy full colour cover and black and white inside on reasonably good quality cartridge as opposed to some of the American "greats" like Analog and Fantasy & Science Fiction with their paperback newsprint.

What of the content? Well, I believe it is all relevant to what you enjoy reading but you'll get around ten short stories, an interview, book reviews and an editorial. There's also talk of a Letters To The Editor section.

Verdict: If you like Sci Fi and Horror get hold of a copy at US $6.
